This class is a basic introduction to PowerChurch. It will cover entering families, defining activities, entering attendance, setting up accounting and entering events.

This class is specifically designed to help new users get started using PowerChurch, but new employees might also benefit from this overview, even if the church is a longtime user of the software.

This class covers the Events module which is a new module that was added in PowerChurch Plus Version 10. It will cover the relation of the Events module to other areas of the program. The class will also cover adding rooms, tasks and equipment to schedule with events in addition to creating events, saving and printing event calendars and editing events.

This class covers the Accounts Payable section of the Accounting module. It will cover adding vendors, entering invoices and manual checks, defining repeating entries and printing checks. The class will also cover posting and voiding checks as well as generating 1099-MISC forms, reassigning vendor IDs, deleting old data and generating reports.

This class will cover the Membership module, including how to add families, individuals, visitations and ministry services records. It will also cover locating existing records, defining codes, importing pictures, tagging records, moving profiles, running reports and deleting data.

Please note that Activities & Skills and Attendance is covered in a separate class.

This class is on the Activities & Skills and Attendance sections of the Membership module. It will cover defining activities, adding people to activities, maintaining offices served along with entering and tracking attendance. It will also cover running reports and graphs to see attendance trends and absences.

Please note that this class is only on Activities & Skills and Attendance. The other areas of Membership are covered in the Membership class.

This class will cover the Contributions module, including maintaining contribution funds, entering and tracking contributions and pledges along with posting and correcting contributions. It will also cover running reports and graphs, reassigning fund and envelope numbers and deleting old data.

This class is the first of two classes covering the Fund Accounting module. It will focus on setting up the module and will cover using the Accounting Setup Assistant, creating a new accounting fund and defining a donor restriction. It will also cover account types, categories and levels along with adding, changing and moving accounts.

Please note that this class does not cover accounting concepts and it is assumed that you have at least a general knowledge of accounting. To get the most benefit from this class, you should have a basic understanding of debits and credits, accounting funds and reporting.

This class is the second of two classes covering the Fund Accounting module. It will focus on using the module and will cover entering, posting and reversing transactions along with bank reconciliation. It will also cover entering budgets, generating reports and closing the accounting month. Advanced topics, such as importing, exporting, restarting and advanced setup options will also be covered. If you have not set up Accounting, we would recommend taking Fund Accounting 101 before taking this class.

Please note that this class does not cover accounting concepts and it is assumed that you have at least a general knowledge of accounting. To get the most benefit from this class, you should have a basic understanding of debits and credits, accounting funds and reporting.

This class covers the Payroll section of the Accounting module.  It will focus on setting up payroll, including items, tax tables and employees as well as processing, posting and voiding payroll checks.  The class will also cover generating accounts payable entries for payroll tax payments, reporting and the time off calendar.

PLEASE NOTE: The Payroll module was completely redesigned in PowerChurch Plus Version 11. Users of prior versions should not schedule this class, as it deals specifically with Payroll features only available in Version 11.
